Queensland Fire and Evacuation Technologies Pty Ltd (QFE) is a trusted provider of fire protection services across Southeast Queensland. Since 2009, we have delivered reliable commercial and industrial fire safety and prevention solutions for both new builds and existing sites. Our technical capability allows us to work seamlessly with current fire systems and provide practical, compliant solutions for each site.
Our Fire Protection Capabilities
Led by licensed and qualified technician Steven Drews, QFE brings decades of hands-on industry experience to every project. We support the full lifecycle of fire safety systems, including design, construction, installation, maintenance, commissioning, and certification of fire detection, alarm, and EWIS systems.

QFE is QBCC licensed to act as your lead fire maintenance contractor.
Through long-standing partnerships with established fire safety subcontractors, we coordinate complete fire protection solutions as your lead contractor. Related services include:
- Automatic fire sprinkler systems
- Five-yearly fire pump and hydrant flow testing
- Fire door testing, repairs, replacements, and emergency make-safe repairs
- Evacuation training, evacuation plans, and evacuation diagrams

QFE is a focused, experienced team. Our operating model keeps the team small, overheads low, and service personal. The team includes Steve Drews, Robyn Audsley, and long-standing fire service technician Bruce Collins, supported by carefully selected specialist subcontractors.
Steve Drews
Technical Manager
Steve is the founding partner of QFE and one of Queensland’s most knowledgeable fire alarm technicians. With a lifetime of industry experience, he has deep expertise in fire alarm system design, installation, maintenance, and support.
Steve understands every aspect of fire alarm systems and is skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues. He also takes the technical lead on integration work where QFE is required to work with existing legacy systems.
Robyn Audsley
Director & Office Manager
Robyn keeps QFE’s day-to-day operations running smoothly. She supports Steve with on-site job requirements and testing, while also managing scheduling, quoting, planning, invoicing, and job coordination.
