When Hutchison Builders needed a reliable fire detection and emergency warning system for Brisbane’s new 33 story Four Points by Sheraton hotel they came to QFE for the right solution.

Officially opened in February 2014, the 250-room hotel was booked out on opening and hosted a number of high-level government delegations during the G20 summit in November 2014.

Fire is a risk for every hospitality facility and hotel and can pose a serious threat to guests, property and the reputation of the business owner.Busy kitchens, careless guests and equipment malfunction can all contribute to therisk of fire and with high occupancy loads, minor mishaps can quickly become serious threats.

QFE designed, constructed and installed a complete fire detection system at Four Points including sprinkler and pump monitoring and zone smoke control. The solution also included sound and intercommunication systems that can be used in emergency situations so guests and staff can be alerted to any potential dangers.
